I understand the citations, however, I'm still perplexed as to why Savage is credited as the first RTSS when Natural Selection came out a year before (2002) and Battlezone 2 three years before that (1999)? Without an accurate definition of what an RTSS is (the page for Real Time Strategy Shooter redirects to the page for First-person shooter, a separate genre) it seems like an audacious claim (even with citations).
